White Dust (Friday Fictioneers)

March 6, 2015

“Oh, lookit Danny, lookit.” Mikey pointed madly at the dirt near the fence. “Lookit.”

Danny ran over. Mikey was got excited about silly things. He was so little. Two and three quarters. Just a baby. Mikey was bigger, he was nearly five.

“What is it?”

“What’s it Danny?”

Danny was not sure. They were round white things. He picked up a stick from the garden and poked one of them. It exploded into white powder.

“Cool.” They said together. Danny raced to get another stick and handed it solemnly to Mikey. “Your turn.”

Mum found a garden of white dust.
