Review: Mommy’s Little Wordlings by Linh Nguyen-Ng

About the book:

Little words hold big meanings. The Little Wordlings are children who use their simple words to express their feelings for loved ones. No one is more adored than the first person who made them smile. No one is more cherished than the person who gave them life. There is no one like Mommy. Join the Little Wordlings as they show Mommy how much she is appreciated and loved.

My Review:

If you don’t have this book for your little ones I thoroughly recommend that you go out and get it. A beautiful book, Mommy’s Little Wordlings written and illustrated by Linh Nguyen-Ng is a book full of LOVE. The illustrations perfectly match the minimal text that will make it a terrific book to read to little children and yes when old enough they can read it back to you. Each image is wrapped in words of love and support, showing that even without the words on the page, words can come from deep inside of you. We are all made up of words, feelings that are expressed in every thought, gesture, smile and pat on the back. This is a lovely book and really, with mother’s day almost upon us, it is the perfect gift for new mothers and old. I hope we see a lot more of these picture books from Linh!
I can’t wait to read it to my nieces and nephews so that they can read it with their mummy’s.
