Endless Blue (Friday Fictioneers)

September 11, 2015

It was such an amazing day. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, water was like crystal beneath the hull as I sailed above. Such beauty could not be contained.

He wasn’t here.

This was the sort of day he would have loved. The day he lived for. Well—he used to.

It was why I was here today. On the anniversary. I wanted to find my joy again lost as it was so long ago.

I lay back and stared up at the endless blue. Yes it was a lovely day.

He would have loved it.
