I want to believe (Friday Fictioneers)

September 30, 2016

Still no sign of anyone.

Not a single person had walked this hall for hours.

God, she’d been here for hours.

She couldn’t stay… it was taking too long. Jumping to her feet she headed for the nearest exit. Voices drifted through a partially open door.

“Do you think she’s right?”

“Aliens? Really? She’s a nutter, nothing more. Probably on something. The drug test is due back any minute then we’ll see.”

It had been right. No one would believe her.

The door was up head. She ran out into bright sunlight. Disappearing was now her only option.
