A dream to dream (Friday Fictioneers)

“Shhhh, duck. Don’t let them see you.”
“They can’t!” Trineer scoffed. She fluttered closer to land on the wooden fixture hanging over the light. Heat poured down upon her delicate skin. She tucked her wings in closer to her body and crawled further to poke her head over the edge.
“I’m gonna tell mom if you don’t come back.”
“Hush Gerinn!” Trineer felt her heart pounding. Below the music volume grew. She could see waves vibrating through the air making the dust motes dance. “It’s soooo beautiful.”
“Ah, too loud. I’m going.”
Trineer didn’t look back. She sighed and dreamed.

A lovely take on the prompt..even the birds day-dream to music. Well done!
Thank you!!
I think yes would they? Why not. 😊 thank you so much for reading
🙂
Music can have that effect on everyone, and not just humans 🙂
I think so. Event the music we can’t hear. I just hope it makes everyone happy 😊
Ah, so wistful. Beautifully done.
Thank you!! 😊
Elves or fairies love music, too. Beautifully told.
Yes! I know I would creep closer to see. 😊
Such a charming tale. We don’t know what they are and it doesn’t matter… they, or one of them, is a music lover!
Yes!!! Exactly Dale. Up to any one to decide but the joy is the same… or not haha
I like the fact that we have no idea what these creatures look like yet we pay attention. Nice job, Laurie.
Thank you John! Yes exactly. The joy or annoyance is the same haha!
😀
Birds, fairies or just plain old mosquitoes? Doesn’t matter really, the emotions are always the same.
Yes!! Exactly 😊
The two different viewpoints of the winged creatures are very appealing and well-written. Nice and different take on the picture, Laurie.
Thank you Jilly!! 😊 I love the idea of them up there
Dear Laurie,
Lovely little story. In reading the comments, I see that some saw them as birds…I thought flying aliens. Either way, they’re music lovers and that’s what counts. Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle

Thank you Moon… i want to be so entranced!
I see fairies, delicate and happy. Well done.
Yes! Happy certainly… well one is 😉
Really magical and beautiful. Great job.
Thank you Lisa. I was hoping to invoke a little magic! 😉
Such great characterisation – a typical sibling relationship – and picture on their differences.
An artistic, romantic bird. Very nice.
