Can’t take him anywhere (Friday Fictioneers)
PHOTO PROMPT © Yarnspinnerr
“And here we see the remains of an Earth storm… Potentially hazardous winds, possibly a flood. We are not sure. It is said hundreds of humans died.”
The crowd let out a collective “Ooooo.”
One shuffled forward. “Looks fake. That doesn’t look like Earth wood.”
“Mela, stop.”
He waved his tentacle at the peeling yellow covering. “Earth paint! Ha! Doesn’t last a millennia does it? This is a museum of trash.”
“My apologies, ma’am. He lost his baggage at the last interplanetary hop. He’s been in a snot ever since.”
The twitching host nodded. “Now over here you will see…”

Intergalatic fake news!
Hahaha right? And so expensive 🤣
So kids are brats in museums, no matter what planet they are from… 🙂
Hahahaha happens everywhere. So rude and embarrassing! 🤣
Ha ha!
Good to know those human traits can cross the species boundaries! 🙂
Oh absolutely. There are whiny *word beeped out* everywhere lol
Ha ha – I loved that!

Thank you Susan!! 🤣
Nice imagination to locate the building shown by the photoprompt in an alien museum! And then to show us the aliens behaving just like humans.
Thank you Penny. I think emotions and behaviours could be very similar in similar circumstances!
Very clever and entertaining story.
Thank you!😊
Made me smile!
Thank you!
I love this, too funny. And yes, analogous societies would produce similar behaviour, tentacles or not. Beep.
Hahaha thank you. I just figure… you know, there’s one in every group
In any group of tourists, there’s always one!
Sooooo true 😳
Dear Laurie,
Universal kid snottiness. This made me grin.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Haha thanks Rochelle!
Tentacles?
By any chance could I get some fried calamari?
Randy
Bahahaha thanks for reading Randy! Hmmm now I feel hungry
Fun take on the prompt.
Thanks Alicia
Why would such a tragic moment make me laugh? It did, though. I guess when the tragedy is ancient, it doesn’t seem so tragic 🙂
Hahaha yes well I think it’s because it’s a scene we’ve all witnessed or been a part of at some time
Such fun – the interplanetary hop putting Mela in a bad mood, or maybe he’s right and the museum is all fluff and nonsense.
Hmmmmm could be both Sarah Ann 😳
Humorous take on the prompt
Thank you! 😊
