A little magic (Friday Fictioneers)

May 10, 2018

All I could see was the yellow spire, calling me, urging me on.

He wouldn’t be here. His ship had disappeared into that black hole and my heart had gone with it. Never again would I see his smile, hear his laugh. But he’d promised.

“Meet you under the spire thirty years ago.”

Time travel. Huh, what good was it when you couldn’t undo… I swallowed hard. Don’t think it. Go… for him… for us…

For me.

I stared up at the night sky, stars hidden by neon lights.

“Hello stranger.”

I spun around, my heart in my throat.

“Hi.”

A little story for my mum. She loves a good time travel romance story.

Happy mother’s day in Australia for this Sunday, Mum.

  12. True love conquers everything, even time! Nice story, Laurie!

  13. I love a good time-travel romance, too. I just worry about whose time they’re going to end up in!

    • Oooo yes indeed Jilly. Thank you. Torn apart by fate perhaps… is it all in her mind I wonder?

  17. I think it would work if you are willing to meet at the right place at the right time. … at least you know a few things that will happen..

  18. Lovely, to know time travel works and they found each other again. Really enjoyed reading this.

  19. Very romantic and what’s it matter if they can’t undo their time travel if they are together, any time’s as good as another
