Curiousier and curiousier (Friday Fictioneers)
PHOTO PROMPT © Dale Rogerson
Do you ever wonder, if you could float up high above the ground using an umbrella or balloon, what you would see and where you would go?
Adventures are not for the faint of heart. Especially when the transport is a little bit… magical.
Morrigan Crow did it, as did Mary Poppins.
As a kid, did you ever wonder what it would be like to fly?
I imagine a far-off land filled with pixies and dragons and elves, and of battles and banquets and true love.
What do you imagine?
I stare at my reflection in the mirror… and wonder.
This is a Friday Fictioneer’s Prompt

A lovely piece of internal thoughts. Would dressing like Mary Poppins or even Superman give you confidence to fly?
Oooo superman or woman… absolutely I think 😉… hmmm where are my tights?
I used to image swimming through the air, doing breast stroke
Oh I love it! I used to sit in a tree an imagine it was the far away tree
Most of us are scared to experiment.
And yet I think we all need to. Imagine a magical world 😊
I don’t think I even need a magical world, just to be able to fly through the sky in this world would be magical enough!
😉😄 this is true
Thanks to you I now have ‘One day I’ll fly away’ playing in my mind. Actually, I’m quite enjoying it!

Oh good 😊 thanks for reading Keith
Dear Laurie,
I can remember having dreams of flying. However I’m a bit fearful of heights. Can you imagine Mary Poppins being afraid of heights? Lovely internal piece.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle 😊 I’m looking forward to the new Mary Poppins but Julie Andrews will always have my heart
I enjoyed her musing in front of the mirror… We’ve all done it one time or another, eh?
I sure have! 😊
Floating above the world holding an umbrella is something to dream of, although she might have arm ache at the end of her trip. Lovely musings this week. 🙂
Oh yes and aching arm… how freaky I actually have a sore arm this week!
Lovely story and a great take on the prompt. And of course, I fly. 😉
Thank you! I would love to fly
There are days when we grow up and things are lost.
And days when we wish we never grew up and could return to those imaginative times, I know I do
I did–I dreamed of being able to fly, and was always disappointed when I woke up, earthbound 🙂
Really? I read books and climbed in trees to ‘fly’
