Blink and you’ll miss it (Friday Fictioneers)

October 25, 2018

PHOTO PROMPT © Roger Bultot

It was hard to tear my gaze from the glass. Incredible, intricate detail mesmerised and hypnotised. I had no real concept of how much time slipped away, until a cough from my side brought my gaze back to earth. “Yes?”

“The library will be closing in five minutes. Are you well? You’ve been here awhile.”

“I love this place.”

“I thought so,” she said. She patted my arm and wandered off.

I glanced at my watch. Barely ten minutes had passed. Then I spied the date book on the counter. 2019. What…? When I’d come in it had been 1999.

Can I just say, I LOVE this image!
