We’re safe here. The floor was standing room only, packed with people. Whimpering, terrified people barely dared to breathe. Afraid to make any sound. Even the children were silent and as pale as ghosts.

When the ships landed, we were excited. Finally. We had proof life on other planets existed.

Turns out… No so much.

But other dimensions exist. And these humans had figured out a way to travel between them. They needed a new home and they were taking ours.

The holy places were the one border they would not cross. For now, we’re safe.

But for how long?

This is a Friday Fictioneers Prompt

  2. Intriguing set up. Good to know humans in other dimensions are as equally destructive as we are!

  3. That’s one way to stem the decline in churchgoing! Nice one Laurie.

My story – ‘This way that way!’

  4. Dear Laurie,

Humans from other dimensions. That’s a new one. We have seen the enemy and he is us.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    But for how long?
    Randy

Only a very few earth people will be able to move to a different dimension after destroying the planet and leaving the less fortunate to their fate.
