Unanswered questions (Friday Fictioneers)

This scene was exactly like all the others. Blood soaked, splatter everywhere, body print on the floor, but no body.

Except for one detail.

I knew what coated the spoon… and it wasn’t flour.

“Yup.” And I wasn’t happy about it.

“Change of plan?”

“Something changed. Fought back most likely.” I stepped around the kitchen, my hands clasped behind me so as not to contaminate anything. My partner wandered off, interest lost with no evidence to bag.

Where did the bodies go? What did he kill them with? These were questions I had no answers to. “Pixie dust.”
