What do you see? (Friday Fictioneers)

Staring out on the world through grimy windows, it felt like a message or perhaps a scene setting moment from a movie. Nope. Just an ordinary day.
Squinting through the grit covered glass I change my mind on that. “What the…?” At the bottom of the garden was…
“Is that a gate?”
No one answered. No one ever answered. I lived alone. Didn’t stop me talking to myself when the occasion called for it. “What’s a gate doing in the bottom of my garden?”
I grabbed my phone and a bag of chips. Munching loudly, I wandered down to investigate.

Yeah. Open the door. There could be something utterly wonderful out there
Oooooo I think so… and I think she will!
Loneliness plays strange tricks on the mind.
It certainly does. I wonder what she’ll find if it’s real?
Should carry a ball of string too, just in case you need to find your way back 🙂
Brilliant idea! I love It. 😍
I like that they took the chips with them. Best not to go hungry! 🙂
Hahaha, right? That was my favourite part too!
For some reason, I thought of Dr. Who, cast adrift in the Tardis, but finally drifting into inhabited territory. Interesting story. Sounds like the beginning of an adventure 🙂
Oooooooo I LOVE that idea!
🙂
I like the chips, too! Like, I’ll take a stroll while snacking so at least if there is nothing, I had something 😉
Yes exactly! I mean she’s hungry, why not? Haha I thought, what would I do? *Munch munch*
🙂
Dear Laurie,
That window does need to be replaced. Some kind of mold that won’t clean off. How embarrassing. 😉 I hope if there’s someone lurking, they can be scared off by loud crunching. You left me wanting to know more.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Hahahaha oh yup I wrote it while hungry but also I thought… what would I do? *munch munch * maybe the lurker is from the door at the bottom of the garden?
I don’t think it’s just an ordinary day. I think a mystery lurks. Where does the gate lead to?
Hmmmm where indeed, a mystery certainly does abound. At least she has a snack, haha
If it’s open will she go through? If it’s locked will leap over? Will her chips run out before she gets there? So many questions, so many possibilities. Intriguing stuff.
Oh so so so many questions and I love em all! Hahaha where does the door go?
I would certainly have gone to investigate something I’d never noticed before. All kinds of possibilities here.
good point, I’m not sure I would either
