Is it here? (Friday Fictioneers)

“Did you check? Did my package arrive yet?”
“What package?”
“The box… the books. My books… I’ve been stuck in here for months. I need to escape and since I can’t actually leave here, I want my books. Fantasy, mystery, science fiction, supernatural. Escape!”
“Well, go and have a look.”
“… dear…? How long has this box been sitting out here?”
“Oh, it’s arrived then? That’s good, darling. You’ll be happier now.”
“It’s postmarked weeks ago… Has this…? Did you… ? Why didn’t you tell me it was here?”
“Darling, why are you holding that rolling pin like that? Darling…”

He should have told her methinks!
Yep. I can very well imagine this anger.
However…
She should have gone for eBooks.
LOL good point!
Haha. That’ll be last time he forgets about any package. Great take on the prompt, Laurie
I hope so hahaha…
Never come between an avid reader and their books! 😉

Books! Who leaves them outside!
Definitely NOT me!!!
Oh, no! Pancake …
And … well … I think that’s justified self-defense.
See I think so too !
