What’s the time Mr. Wolf (Friday Fictioneers)

When the first package went missing a suggestion was made it was an opportunistic passerby.
After several, it was assumed someone in the building was a thief. No one said it out loud, but it was there, in the side eyed glances, sneers and clicking tongues.
Then the old lady on the fourth floor did not appear at tenants meeting. She never missed a chance to accuse others of making too much noise. A day later Charlie from 2 vanished. Then Shauna. After that we got out.
The building was condemned last week.
This morning, a package went missing downstairs.

Great title for the story. Moving out seems a wise way to go.
Thank you! I think so… it’s not gonna end well
Getting out may not have been enough
I agree Neil, they may have been followed
Just in time, hopefully.
I hope so… then again, there is that missing package
So–just keep on moving and hope whatever it is will give up?
I fear it has their scent now
Oh, creepy. I had to look up Mr. Wolf, because I’ve never heard of that game before. Interesting and even more creepy now!
Oh wow, thank you… sorry to give you homework 😉 just don’t call out “dinner time!”
A mysterious spirit is determined to disrupt all the package deliveries – Will they ever be rid of him/it/her.
Hmmmmm I fear no, not until it’s finished
Yuck-oo. I don’t want to hang around for a second time around.
Thank you! I fear you are very right
😀
Very suspenseful! I think another move is in order, and in the dead of night so “no-one” notices.
Thank you! Good plan.
Other worldly influences get away with a lot in desperate situations. Probably haunted. 😉
Oh I think certainly so. But by what? Cause it’s still hungry
Dear Laurie,
Here’s hoping they’re getting out in time.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Me too! Thanks for reading, Rochelle !
I’ve seen where packages get booby-trapped so when opened they spray glitter and skunk scent and have a live cam that activates with GPS. They need one of these badly. Time to solve the mystery!
Oh yes, that might catch the monster!
