“You will stay here, waiting for our signal.”

“Which will be?”

“You’ll hear it.”

“That’s only a little ominous.”

The third member of their party shook his head. “It should be very ominous. It’ll involve a big bang.”

“Bang?” I ask.

“More like a boom.” The leader of our group said. All I could see of his face above the mask was a raised eyebrow. But I could sense the smirk.

The heist looked good. I still didn’t know if I could trust these two, but they were the best.

I needed the best.

Tonight, we’d win Dungeons & Dragons.
