I will get back (Friday Fictioneers)

PHOTO PROMPT © Rochelle Wisoff-Fields
I see myself reflected in the window. And I don’t like what I see. It’s been too many years since I left. Living on the space station was my only dream. Much has changed on Earth since I’ve been gone. The world has changed. My parents are gone – lost in the sink hole, the house … all of it just … gone. They are opening up everywhere. The earth is disintegrating from the inside out. Space is where the future is and it’s where I have to get back to. They kicked me out.
Well, I’m going back.
Somehow.

The idea of escaping Earth is more appealing each day. Where could I go, is Europa ready for me?
Ha! I totally agree
Beautifully structured, Laurie. She can run, but will her nightmares travel with her?
Thank you so much, Neil!
Dear Laurie,
Not an appealing future. Nicely done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you!
Very clever approach to looking at the future, Laurie.
Thank you Gwen!
Laurie, as we drain the lubricant from earths innards, you’re going to see a lot more of those sinkholes, you’re right. My burning question is what did she do to get kicked out of outer space??? You could write a whole book around your premise here.
Aha! I’m very sure it’s worthy of a full book. She’s certainly caused her share of trouble I feel.
I’m wondering why she got booted from outer space. Maybe she’s bringing old habits from Earth out into the universe?
Hmmmmm you may well be right about that!
Not the kind of future one would wish for. I hope the MC makes it back to space.
I’m sure she will!
I think she’s going to get back too. Her determination comes through.
I agree, she is too determined
I right enjoyed reading this
Thank you so much, Michael
You got it all in there, Laurie. Well done.
Thanks Bill!
