Here batter batter (Friday Fictioneers)

The roar nearly lifted the stadium off the ground. The screams that followed almost brought it down. The attack was swift, brutal and bloody. More died in the stampede to escape the stadium than in the monster’s initial attack. The creature was enormous. It burst from the ground in the center of the diamond eating the pitcher first. The giant creature was followed by three smaller ones. Millions of legs, mouths full of razor sharp teeth the size of a fully grown man. Then more came up out of the earth. All over the world. We didn’t stand a chance.

Ah. Worums. Lovely
Thank you!
Sounds like the start of a disaster flick. I imagine there’s a small band of warriors who will figure out a way to take them down!
Oh yes, I am sure there will be! 🤣
I was going to a stadium this weekend – does anyone want my ticket?
Oh dear… I hope I don’t ruin everyone’s weekend plans
Dear Laurie,
Wow, what a frightening day at the old ball game. These days one worries about mass shooters. I’m sure no one was prepared for a monster of such magnitude.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Honestly, here’s hoping we never have to prepare for either
Well I bet that spoiled the game 🙂
I would think so!
Horrible thoughts. Well done.
Thank you!
Well, this gave me a shiver. We certainly did not stand a chance. Talk about an extinction event.
Yes indeed !
Good reason to stay away from sports stadiums, where you’ll become a human hot dog for a horrible monster!
Ooooo haha brilliant
Great fear/tension in this wee creepy tale. Well done.
Thank you!
Some survived to write the story and others to read it. 🙂
Yes, very true!
Such a chilling scenario. I keep reading about UFOs diving into the ocean. That’s probably where they’ll emerge from when the attacks begin…
Oooooooo now there’s an idea!
Hope you run (or is that swim?) with it, Laurie!
